MEET RISHIMA OF SACRAL MYSTIC
Designer, Diviner, Desirer.
Rishima (meaning moonbeam in Hindi) is an astrologer, collage artist and graphic designer based in California. Her astrological and artistic sensibilities are driven by a fascination with the fierce complexities of fate, human nature and intimate relationships. Born under a Mercury-Jupiter conjunction in Gemini with the Sun and Saturn, she has vigorous respect for technical knowledge while integrating experiential wisdom and thoughtful experimentation into her astrology and design work. The rich symbolism and abstraction of the divinatory arts heavily influence Rishima’s creative practice. Through astrology consultations, she enjoys helping clients find refuge in desire and creativity as a renewal of perspective of their internal and external experiences. Rishima also has a strong appetite for learning and finds humor in absurdity.
Moonbeam
Before anything, Rishima is devoted to arts and culture and is a passionate lover of music. Her taste is consumed by sensuality, eroticism, hunger, angst, tenderness and divine connection. She credits the time period in which she came across 1960s and 70s rock and roll music as the moment her life changed forever. A captivation with old music, fashion and design has nestled into her antique heart ever since. Her favorite music artists are Shocking Blue, The Cramps, Dire Straits and Jeff Buckley. Rishima has Lot of Eros conjunct the IC ruled by a domicile, rejoicing Venus. Venus receives a trine from her sect light by sign, an otherwise void, Capricorn Moon conjunct the South Node in the first house. Art is a consistent companion in times of loneliness and this sacred grace pulses the undercurrents of her astrological and creative practices. Thus, Sacral Mystic was born.

Study
Rishima began studying astrology and the tarot independently in 2020. Currently, she is a first year graduate and second year student of Austin Coppock’s Fundamentals of Astrology program where she learns the nuances of natal astrology, electional astrology, remediation techniques and astrological magic rooted in the Hellenistic, Renaissance, Medieval and Modern texts with influences of Indian astrology. Alongside Austin Coppock, she is forever indebted to the teachers in the Fundamentals of Astrology program––Drew Levanti, Amy Green, Micki Pellerano, Debra Stapleton, Jen Hanen, Travis Black, Rory Keys and Rose Kent––whose wisdom and technical expertise have supported and ignited her astrological journey. She plans to advance to the third year of the FOA program in the coming months. Other astrologers whose work heavily influence and inspire her practice are Chris Brennan, Jessica Irene, Neha Jha and Kira Ryberg. In 2023, Rishima graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design Summa Cum Laude, where she developed a sophisticated eye for design and art. While pursuing her degree, she served as Editor-in-Chief and Art Director of the student-run fashion publication, TREND Magazine.
On an eternal quest to fathom the tension of fate, fortune and intimacy as paradox, Rishima is eager and curious to connect with people and learn about their lives. Austin Coppock describes Leo III, the decan in which her Lot of Spirit resides, as “the invincible heart.” Rishima relentlessly wears her heart, albeit a little rough around the edges, on her sleeve and commits to a practice of loving in spite of shame, which as a Capricorn rising we can all say is pretty courageous.
